Hey everyone! After five years i'm finally in the home steps of securing residency to the US, and I can finally begin talking here without feeling illegitimate. I'm so happy to meet you all in text form! I'm not sure how popular new signup posts are nowadays, but lord knows the podcasts suggest it often enough.

I'm an Aussie coming over (luckily-though-quite-delayed) thanks to DV2022. I'm selling up once I have my greencard in hand, hopefully mid-September and moving to either four or five cities in the Midwest or somewhere near Lewiston, Maine. I'm hoping to find, chat with, and befriend people who've either migrated or who live in those areas. Personally i'm interested in anything neglected 8 units and under. At home I've done one flip-turned-househack (which began with some spicy legal drama!), and assisted with two singlefamilies (for experience). I've been trying for years to get a local abandoned boarding house with a view to rezone it and convert it to a fourplex, but with yesterdays consular update it's time to throw in the towel for that in favour of this new adventure.

The BP RE Podcast was pretty much the only thing keeping me occupied and motivated as a miner dreaming of real estate for the better part of a decade, and for essentially solely my gratitude i'd like to finally post a public thanks to Josh (wherever he is), David, and Brandon for keeping my machinery blaring with the original and spinoff podcasts free of charge all these years.

Not terribly sure how long these posts are supposed to be but i'm grinning to be making it. I look forward to working with whomever here is in the industry wherever I end up, and despite the challenges this move and the current economic uncertainty presents (why couldn't I have been approved circa 2017?!) I hope to have a wonderful and productive relationship with whoever fate dictates I meet.
