Hello everyone. This is Jonathan and I live in Orange County in Southern California.

What drew me to this site was a link to this site from of all things, a comment on a yahoo article about real estate. Since then I've started listening to the podcasts and reading blog posts. I've also been reading real estate books on my kindle app on my phone.

My experience in real estate thus far is owning a condo here in Orange County for the last few years and having roommates to ease the pain of the mortgage. That's where my knowledge ends. I'm here to learn.

My goal is to buy rental properties. I don't have any currently and know very little about it so I intend to spend the next year and a half learning and saving money in order to invest. Most likely I will invest out of state due to the insane housing prices in socal.

Anyway I'm glad that such a resource filled site exists. It seems overwhelming with all the various terminology and math I'll need to learn but if it was easy everyone would do it. I'm looking forward to getting to know and conversing some of you.
