Home Insurance options in Fire prone areas

Hi everyone, 
Newbie here, looking to close on my first purchase in Crestline, CA. Currently looking at my options for home insurance, and they seem pretty limited. Most quotes I get require that I purchase a separate fire insurance through the CA Fair plan, which seems like a pretty miserable option. Does anyone know which companies insure in the Crestline/Lake Arrowhead area and what's the best value?
