Door Knocking in Alabama?

Hi, I have some pre-foreclosure leads and I'd like to go knock on the homeowner's doors to see if they want to talk about selling. However, I've read that some states now have regulations that don't allow you to do this, and I have no idea which states those are. Anyone know how to find out where Alabama falls on this?
