Covid-19 - does it hurt or help Short Term Rentals (STR)
Our company has been managing STR properties (Short Term Rental) and working on adding additional properties to our portfolio. We are reviewing and watching the trends / changes in this Covid-19 environment. We believe that more vacationers will be driving to destinations closer to them and staying in STRs versus hotels so that they are not around hoards of strangers in order to be more isolated and feel safer.
We are focused on Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Charleston areas for our growth. I would like to hear what others are seeing in different markets. Where are you buying STRs and why? What are you predictions?

It put a huge dent in our booking for Feb-April. Basically everyone cancelled. But, once South Carolina reopened, we booked back up basically in full from May through the rest of summer.
