Airbnb Forcing Cancellations?

Is this happening to anyone else? I've had two reservations 'canceled by admin'. They were both followed by what appears to be an automated message reading...

"Hi Rachel,
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to stay at your place after all because of the incident affecting Memphis."

I understand the seriousness of this virus...but shouldn't the guest have the freedom to decide what to do with their reservation?

One guest communicated that she had no intention of cancelling. Bummer.

@Sam Josh Long term housing in most cities is in short supply, making the switch easy. For me, in a very concentrated university environment, extended stay rental for academics is also in very short supply so that is even an easier switch.  The fully furnished, all you need to bring are your clothes and laptop, housing is a perfect match for extended stay academics.
