Airbnb: Preapprove or Decline

I got an booking inquiry from someone who wanted to bring two large labs and a small dog into my two bedroom vacation rental. I only allow one small dog.

I responded within 1 hour that if they made $150 additional deposit it would be considered. And of course were cheap and wouldn't do that.

since Airbnb likes to make it complicated, I did not pre approve or decline the request even though they said they weren't interested.

does declining this inquiry impact my approve decline ratio with Airbnb? I have little trust for them and I don't know the answer to this.

I like the special offer idea or extenuating circumstances.

I don't like how Airbnb doesn't even have a pet fee option. How hard is that to add?
