Looking to Network With Other Investors

Hi, my husband and I are going to invest in STR vacation property either in Palm Springs or Big Bear. We'd like to network with other people already doing it to learn from and with people just starting out like us to learn with. We've been reading and reading and reading this forum for a long time.

I’ve tried sending invites to connect on here with messages but can’t seem to get any responses. I also tried contact support to see if I need to upgrade membership to have more access to people but haven’t received a response. Maybe I’ll get responses this way. Hello! Is anyone out there?

Hi @J Val !  I'm here.  :)  

Generally speaking, you might not get a ton of response by throwing out a blanket statement of 'I want to network with those in XXXX market'.  I would ask a specific question about what you want to gain with such a connection and also what you can offer in return. 

This platform is great but there are a LOT of innocuous questions that are asked that don't provide enough bite for those that can help you actually want to answer.  Not trying to discourage you by any means, I would just start by asking a specific series of questions for each market as it's own post.  

Such as: 

Post #1: Looking for insights into the current STR regulations climate in Palm Springs

Post#2:  What is it that I should know about investing in Vacation Rentals in Big Bear that I'm not thinking about? 

Etc, etc. 

Who knows though, you might get 100 people to respond to your post here, and I sincerely hope you do, but just in case you don't, just want to provide you some other options. ;)  I personally don't have expertise in either market unfortunately but might be able to answer a specific question about STRs in general if you like.
