Tracking a million different orders...

Pulled the trigger to stock a STR between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's not a million but I have ALOT of various shipments coming.

I have all orders via email. To ensure I receive all items, what's the best way to keep track? Manually enter each one into a spreadsheet, then cross it off after it's received? Print off each order, and use a pen to scratch each item off once it's received? This is my first STR, and is an experiment. Assuming it goes well, I'd like to have this problem again. Wanting to build the best system I can.

How do others overcome a ginormous amount of stuff coming in the mail?
