Hi, I have been thinking about making vacation rental stands out from the crowd. We know some of the key search criteria in some areas that you need to have in order to get more bookings, like hot tub or grill.

Wonder if we can share examples and ideas on what other amenities you can provide in the house to push your place beyond others. I've seen things like video games, pack and play cribs, movie room, game room, etc…

99% of the people I rent to in my STRs are male contractors working a local refinery.  They are welders, pipefitters, boilermakers, electricians etc. My niceties are nude artwork paintings in all the bedrooms and bathrooms, calendars of scantily clad women in the kitchens and hallways, and masculine oriented artwork in the rest of the house.  All HDTV's are a Smart TV or they are hooked up to a streaming Blu-ray. The bigger houses have outdoor entertainment...fire pit, picnic table, horseshoes, etc.  I keep the back yards illuminated with "Fixed Area Lighting".  It's a flood light mounted and maintained by the city on a power line pole.  Big houses also have a poker table, electronic darts, 2 fridges (one for food, one for beer), 2 washers, 2 dryers.  Biggest house has a kegorator.
