Considering buying a property on the Lake of the Ozarks in Camdenton. Having issues finding specific STR laws for the city.

Did you call the city @JJ Williams. Or the county?

Here in Colorado, the city or county planning departments will know about the STR/Airbnb laws. Call the department, ask for a planner of the day or a planner on call and see what they say.
A word of caution, though, from calling tens of cities and counties here in Colorado, even the supposed experts don't always know what their own short-term rental rules are. Talk to the planners, but also ask for a copy of the ordinance that lays out what they're saying, so you can read for yourself
