Plungie - Installing precast pool in Austin?

Has anybody had experience installing a plunge pool like www.plungie.com in one of their rentals? I just wanted to get a sense of installation cost and permitting process for in ground, semi, or above ground. Thanks!

Interesting. Put an enclosure around it, heat it when necessary and  call it an indoor pool.

My next personal house is just going to have a smaller pool like one of these.

Well the certainly look cool. So those are installed by partners in the local area.

I would find out if there is a installer in Austin and get the lay of the land.

I would have to guess that the install cost (irrespective of permits) would be at least 20k. Precast concrete is a low margin business overall but seeing as this is very special, it would be more that simple stock tanks and the like.

I would go for in-ground all the way. Semi just sounds like a trip hazard to me. Above ground, unless a huge amount of great landscaping (and high maintenance) would be need to make it pleasing. Otherwise it just looks like a big stock tank.
