Does anyone know of a good luxury resort syndication where the investor gets to stay at the properties in the portfolio? Sounds like the best investment. Thanks in advance!

@Jonathan G., while I don't know of any of these first hand, I would be very conscious of how they are setup: how many investors are able to invest and have access to the units, are there blackout dates, etc?

The potential challenge I see with crossing these uses is: every day you are staying there is a day a paying guest can't stay there.  And, when you want to stay there is likely the same times the rates are the highest.  Now, scale this up to a syndication level with even 10 investors, each investor wants 2 weeks per year there, and all of a sudden your investment is only available about 60% of the year.

I understand this can all be mitigated with blackout dates, total days stayed per year, etc.  but then your ability to stay there may be limited to the point it wasn't even worth it.

I treat it as: my investments are my investments.  If I do well enough with the investments, then I am making enough to pay for a vacation when and where I want to go.
