Short term rental around the San Marcos, TX area

Thomas Vu
Posted

Anyone has a short term rental in San Marcos? Looking to invest in first STR, leaning toward the Austin to San Antonio route. I did look up some data on AirDNA but just want to see if anyone have experience with a short term around the San Marcos areas. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, San Marcos is a great location for short term rentals. We have properties under management in the area that have been performing very well. San Marcos is a college town, home of Texas State University, and a popular tourist destination, making it a prime spot for short-term rentals.

I would highly recommend investing in a short-term rental in San Marcos. The market is strong and the demand is steady, particularly during peak seasons when Texas State University is in session, and summer months when people are looking to take advantage of the many outdoor activities the city offers

I would recommend focusing on properties that have a unique selling point, such as proximity to the river, historic architecture, or unique amenities like a pool or hot tub. This will help your property stand out in a competitive market.
