Lake Winnipesaukee Air BNB
Interested in talking with someone with experience in Air BNB in the lakes region. Currently looking in the Gilford NH region located 5 minutes from Winnipesaukee and 5 minutes to Gunstock Mountain.
Thanks, Kris
Look like a great place for an STR!
@Kris Maiato I have managed roughly 20 homes in the area and do have some advice. Be sure that you have a differentiator that makes you unique against other homes in the market. The area is becoming saturated and the only way to stay competitive in the area is uniqueness. A split level ranch in a standard neighborhood doesn’t cut it anymore. Happy to help with specifics if needed.
@Kris Maiato, did you end up purchasing in Gilford? Curious about potential STR restrictions. TIA

Hey Kyle - i know this was 2 years ago but are you still familiar w/ the area or has your opinion changed at all on this? Looking at a few chalet style properties in that area and interested in insight from others.
@Alyssa Beno sorry a couple months late, but yes. Saturated market that seems to be fading. Uniqueness needed to survive here unless you have returning guests

Thanks for the reply - do you have an opinion on any other similar markets in NH that may have a better outlook overall? Not looking to rake in millions, but lookign to at least break even as we would be using the property as well in summer and maybe winter here and there.
@Alyssa Beno look more north to the mountains (Lincoln or Conway areas). Skiing in winter, summer outdoor adventure, hiking in the shoulder seasons. More stable in my opinion, just read up on current restrictions or coming restrictions.
