STR investing in Sarasota

Hi guys

New to the Sarasota/Florida market and looking to link up with someone who's been doing STR investing in the Sarasota/ west cost of Florida. Moved from up north and looking to build my portfolio down here. I owned a few properties back north but as LTR and want to meet with someone who's had success here in Florida to pick your brain and learn the market. Also looking for a realtor who specializes or owns some STR themselves. Would love to meet up and ask a bunch of questions.

Thanks

I did call the Sarasota county town hall and the city of Sarasota allows for STRs to be defined as 7 days & 7 nights but Sarasota is in other Counties as well so I need to call the others to see what their definitions are.

@Jonathan Justiniano you are correct that a portion of the city limit extends into Manatee County.  For Sarasota County there is a 30-day minimum rental period (excluding the islands and the city itself).  This should help clarify.
