Airbnb user banned for personal opinions

Has anyone else been following what is going on with Michelle Malkin getting banned from using Airbnb for allegedly being associated with a 'known hate group' and speaking at a 'white nationalist conference'? Interested in hearing your all thoughts on this matter and if you agree with Airbnb de-platforming someone for their political opinions.

I feel like for me, Airbnb is a set of golden handcuffs.  I don't agree with a lot of stuff they do, but where else would I turn to get the revenue coming in that they provide?

Do you know that, or are you just assuming? That sounds like a baseless assumption. And sexual orientation is a protected class, being a member of a political group is not. So the comparison is absurd. I don't like the politics and practices of lots of companies whose products I buy or use. Hell, I don't like many of the politics or practices of our own government, but you take the good with the bad and make it work for you. Getting in your feelings over airbnb having values that don't align with yours is a futile waste of time and energy. That energy would be better utilized making your STRs better or creating your own STR platform that aligns with YOUR values. You don't think Tucker Carlson wouldn't want to feature your business on prime time TV if that was your approach?

Keep your eye on the prize y’all, someone else’s quixotic attempt to piss off a mega cap tech company is a distraction from your own personal journey and obligations.
