What: Big Real Estate Networking Summit! (Targeted Networking, Speakers/Panels/Q&A, Breakout Sessions, Vendor Access)
When: Sat & Sun, Nov 15th and 16th, 2014; 8:30AM-5:30PM (confirmed!)
Where: San Francisco State University (confirmed!)
Cost: $TBD - Sign up on link below for updates
SIGN UP / UPDATED INFO: Please fill out the meetup questionnaire so I can better connect you and meet your wants! This is the link that will always contain the updated info: http://www.meetup.com/Real-Estate-Networking-Summits-REmeetup-com/events/182097922/

The goal of this event is to provide you with personalized connections to those who matter most to your investing style and interests, provide a live forum and targeted events to network with those individuals, great speakers with plenty of time for Q&A & Panel Discussions, and vendors available to answer your questions or connect - without any hard sales pitches or guru speakers just trying to peddle their programs. As the host and organizer, that is my commitment to you! There are no corporate sponsors. I’m not selling any systems or books. Just a great RE networking event to help get you better connected and expand your real estate world!

It's amazing what even one good contact can do for your investing..
That tip. That loan. That deal.. That lasting connection! Come meet and select from a couple hundred other investors interested in sharing their experiences and expanding their network, and see what it adds to your real estate game!
Over 90 BP members have expressed interest on my “placeholder” posting so far.. http://beta.biggerpockets.com/forums/521/topics/126194-massive-re-investor-summit--sf-bay-area-oct-2014?page=9 , but please keep your comments on this posting, and be sure to sign up for my meetup group at the following link, so you get the updates:

http://www.meetup.com/Real-Estate-Networking-Summits-REmeetup-com/events/182097922/

There will be private lenders and hard money lenders present, out-of-state investors and vendors, fixers/flippers/rehabbers, wholesalers, buy/fix/holders, residential & commercial investors, and more.. And targeted forums and sessions to connect those who are interested in the other! Speaking sessions will include plenty of time for attendees to ask questions to speakers, and there will be several panel discussions to get a variety of perspectives on these and other topics, in addition to the targeted networking events. I expect to announce speaker & ticket information, in addition to more details on the event agenda, in June and July.

This is not a CA-specific event, although I’m sure there will be lots of CA investors here.. And this is NOT a Bigger Pockets Summit (BP Summit not scheduled this year..), although many BP members will be coming, and I’ll offer @Joshua D.  and @Brandon Turner free tickets if they can make it back out to another awesome, longer, and much more targeted, RE networking event of mine in San Francisco!

Once again, if you haven’t signed up on my meetup group, do it now to stay up to date!http://www.meetup.com/Real-Estate-Networking-Summits-REmeetup-com/events/182097922/

Please reach out if you have any questions. A tag on the forum is great, in case others have the same question. And please introduce yourself on this BP posting also if you’d like to come, even if you’ve already posted on the old forum. A great way to start making connections before the event!
Looking forward to seeing and introducing you to others there!

@J. Martin - I was super impressed this weekend!  Shows the power of your force of personality to get so many experienced and selfless pros into the room to provide some great information and pointers for others.  Loved that no matter your experience level, you could definitely come out of the weekend with some great motivation, action steps and relationships to follow-up with.

Great job and congratulations on a great weekend.  I was proud to be a part of it and look forward to getting back to the bay area for your next super event....

    OUT OF STATE INVESTING PANELISTS

I would also like to welcome some additional "out of state" panelists, who will share what it takes to perform due diligence on selecting service providers out of your area, analyzing different geographic markets, theory on selecting neighborhood classes, individual property, and property management aspects.

@Chris Clothier  of MemphisInvest & DallasInvest, serial BP contributor, and RE investor. Chris has a wealth of experience in running a large, family-owned real estate company, and has become an expert on finding, rehabbing, and getting properties tenanted for his investors. He understands the due diligence process on finding the right teams, performing at a high level, and managing and growing a business. He also shared a wealth of information on his BP podcast:

    http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/07/11/bp-podcast-real-estate-business-scalable-clothier/

@Jeff Ader of InvestIndy will also be joining the discussion on out of state investments. Indianapolis has some of the higher rent/price ratios in the country. (I just invited him to BP). He will share his experience in assembling teams, what the market looks like today, and what type of cash flow to target in his market in this part of the cycle.

This gentleman will be joined by @William Robison , introduced above, of Kansas City Investment Real Estate. Kansas City is up and coming, and William is there capturing it. Learn about his unique approach to the turnkey process, starting with the investor's acquisition of the distressed property.

Thanks Troy! There is a really a great cross-section of serial marketers and deal makers, hardcore flippers, experienced out of state investors, legal professionals, and lots of BP "superstars," many of which are personally inspiring to me. Excited to have them all come share and connect with us a the Summit.

There will be lots of opportunities for Q&A during the panel discussions, and even more direct networking opportunities in the break-out networking sessions after the panel discussions. So you should have an opportunity to personally meet any of the speakers whose brain you've been wanting to pick.

And I'm adding more speakers by the week! Will be announcing more later!

I'd also like to welcome @Brie Schmidt to our Out-of-State talk. Brie is from Chicago, and invests in Chicago and Milwaukee,  both in residential and larger multifamily. She's going to share with us more about these markets, what type of price points and financial ratios to expect, type of neighborhoods, tenant profile, and all the other important factors that go in to looking at out of state investments. She was featured on BP Podcast 78. Looking forward to meeting you in person!

Whether you're looking for how to find the next deal, want to learn more about flipping, finding the right buy and holds, learning more about out of state investing, market for properties, hear more about what's changing in this market, or improve performance on your existing properties, you'll find it here!

No hard pitches or sales. No courses, books, & systems being peddled. Just a great Real Estate Networking Summit where you can connect with and learn with the great speakers below, and an awesome group of like-minded investors who want to establish meaningful relationships for the future. This is NOT a Bigger Pockets event.

Some of the confirmed speakers are...

  • Bigger Pockets superstar, flipper, & investor , from Santa Rosa
  • Real estate networking legend & San Jose REIA President Geraldine Barry, and of REI VOICE, who just had an awesome article about Josh Dorkin.

@Troy Fisher , thanks for the shout outs!

@Jonna Weber , exactly! Great chance to meet all these wonderful investors we communicate with online, and bring it face to face! Come out and connect with everyone! (Did you see that lineup!)

@Phillip Dwyer , maybe you could share some of your experiences with attendees in a panel discuss also.. Hope you can make it out, and appreciate you sharing it with your group! To make it easy, there is a prominent link at www.REmeetup.com, which I think isn't too hard for most folks to remember if you're saying it out loud (RE as in real estate of course..). AND if you could tag a few people on here who might be interested, that would be awesome! Hope to meet you in person out here Phillip.

@Troy Fisher thanks for the mention. I have never attended one of the SF events. It would be great to meet so many of the out-of-towners I have only had the pleasure of talking to via the internet. I have some plans to go back east to my other markets RI and MA so I will have to see how it will all work out.

Elijah, what better way to get pumped up and ready to jump in feet first then to gather with successful awesome people?!?!  Also make sure you look out for those Sacramento Meetups that happen out there.  I made it out to one, and there are some pretty awesome investors hanging out in that town.

    I'm excited too @Lynn Currie ! Thanks!

@Jon Klaus , sorry you can't make it. Would love to meet you in person.

It sounded like @Bryan Hancock wanted to come out if he can make it work (my fingers crossed)... any update Bryan?

@John Blackman, I haven't had the pleasure yet, but will be a great group of investors, and look forward to meeting you if you can make it. Working with Bryan, right? . @Shiloe B. just got a ticket from here in Oakland. She's doing development on the left coast out here, and I think will be working with one of my partners on a different project. @Kyle Zaylor , @Peter K. , and @Jay Hinrichs can all get in on the development/construction connections, along with a bunch of others in the industry there.. You're going to make it out, right Jay? Kyle?

Peter, you and Paul are in, right? We can touch base on that too if you guys want to chat more about it..

Lynn, are you planning something in Austin? I've always wanted to take a trip out to Austin.. Will have to do it in 2015. Can you schedule it on the back end of a music festival or something..?

By the way Lynn, I blocked off my AirB&B unit around the Summit. If you don't mind staying on the other side of the bridge, you're welcome to stay there for free.. (though I might just stay at the hotel in SF to cut out the commute..). PM me for the link if you want to check it out. No living room or kitchen, but newly remodeled, private apt w/ full bath, and tastefully decorated ;)
