Compensating Property Manager for Home Updates
My property manager for an existing rental took on coordinating improvements to my former primary residence in getting it prepared to rent. She will be managing the rental. Before coordinating the updates (new countertops, partial new flooring, paint, and a bathroom shower repair and replacement), she did not communicate a fee for her time. Now that the work is almost complete, she is asking me to pay her an unspecified amount for her time and effort. I do feel that should be compensated, but I don't know what amount is fair and appropriate. Is there a standard calculation or rule of thumb?
