Buying new carpet for rental house
My wife and I just purchased our first rental! It’s carpet needs replaced and I’ve torn it all out.
what type of carpet/pad should I look for?
What’s considered a good price for a rental house carpet per square foot?
For 3 bedrooms we have been quotes at $2,000 for carpet and install - that seemed high to me but here I am for examples!
Thanks!

3 Bedrooms could be 800 SQFT or 8,000 SQFT, might want to give a bit more detail about the size and type of carpet you have a quote for 2K for.
That said, we never ever ever use carpet if it can be avoided. Cheaper on the install VS other flooring choices like luxury vinyl plank and tile but far more expensive in the long run. If you have the funds to put in a better quality floor for the rental and by better quality I mean less costly to care for down the road then carpet I highly recommend it. Otherwise you will find yourself in the clean/replace cycle.
