Lawn care provider issues

Had a situation where lawn care provider gave me the impression they were mowing as scheduled but tenant called to complain they have not come in over a month. Upon reviewing pics noticed that the pics sent on different days were very similar and outdated. Aside from tenants reporting this and maybe using a reputable lawn care provider with reviews I wonder how this type of issue can be prevented.
