Installing a security system at an LA SFH rental?

Hi, All,

This past weekend, an attempted robbery and non-fatal stabbing happened right in front of a tenant's home. Crime is low in this neighborhood in the westside of Los Angeles. But our tenant obviously feels unsafe. 

I'd like to help by installing a security system. Do you have any recommendations about going about this?  I'm thinking of getting and paying for a basic ADT plan, and having the tenant pay for any add-ons. But I wonder if there are any other options. And that's where I'm turning to all of you! Do you have any suggestions?
