I know you can require renters insurance in my state, ( Missouri) can you also get it with your insurance company so you can be sure that what you want is covered.

@Joseph DeConto for that you would typically get an umbrella insurance policy. Is there anything specific that you want to be insured against?

I want to have my tenants have decent renters insurance that they can purchase on their own thru the commercial insurance company I use that insures my properties.  A recent incident where my tenant could have had a claim for loss of use at the condo he lives at because of a week long water main repair,  yes a week.. He didn't use it because of a $500 deductible if he even had the insurance,  im not sure, failure to provide proof of it pretty  much sums it up, I need greater monitoring of a valid and appropriate coverage and that can more likely take place if they use a company im familiar with.
