Tenant doesn't want to leave

Hey BP! I'm a Texas landlord and recently told one of my tenants that January would be their last month. Since they were on a month to month and I want to do some renovations. Needless to say, they weren't happy to hear that.

This month, instead of paying the prorated amount, their bank auto pay went ahead and sent me the full amount. Eeekkk, I told them the 13th of this month would be their last day. I'm worried that since their bank went ahead and sent me another full January payment, that they'll use that as an excuse to stay.

From what I understand, if the landlord accepts the full months payment, that reinstates the lease for another full month. Unfortunately, they pay through Cozy, and I can't just send it back. Any advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
