Rental had a Break-in

Hey Everyone. I recently just acquired my first rental and today I received a call from my tenant that there was a break-in. Someone broke into the apartment and broke a few windows.  Tenant took photos and filed a police report, suspect was arrested as well.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  What should I be focusing on in this situation?  File an insurance claim for the windows?  Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
