Issues with Military Rentals

Hello Bigger Pockets! Has anyone here had any real issues with military tenants? Deployments don't count as they're doing their jobs and protecting our freedom. I just have concerns due their young age much like college kids.

If you have multiple military roommates, make sure they aren’t all in the same command. That was if one needs to enact the Service Members Relief Act and terminate early, they won’t all be eligible to do so. I wrote a blog about how to protect your interest as best as you can when renting to military. I will link it below. Older military tend to be honorable, and most military in general are, but as with any tenent segment, there is a small minority who will try to get one over on an unsuspecting landlord. Just this summer we had two different military applicants apply to rent a property with a one year lease, knowing that they would only be in our market for 6 months. I give specifics on what to ask for with their application and how to interpret what you receive in the blog post.
