Urgent help requested - Please advise
Hi All,
I own a rental property condo on the first floor in a subdivision. Last week, the unit owner below mine contacted me to inform that she is seeing some water in her unit. I inspected all areas of my property - A/C, washer, and other piping in the condo, nothing indicating its coming from here. As a good neighbor, I allowed her to bring in a plumber and take a look in my unit and also recommended they take a look at the unit above mine (its a 3 storied building - basement , ground and 1 up). My tenant was present when the plumber came and he confirmed that they found nothing. Now, the lady called me later in the day and is claiming that the water is coming from my unit . she says its from the condensate mechanical closet. She is asking me to contact my insurance and pay for her damage. I will check with my insurance but also wanted to get your guidance. I feel like she is trying to use me for her neglect. I see no damage in my unit. Please advise of appropriate next steps.
