Converring to Section 8 Housing

We would like to convert our low income housing to Section 8 housing. Has anyone ever approached a current tenant with the idea and explained how it works and there would be mutual benefit? Is this something a property manager would be able to handle? Does the property manager handle any changes to a lease if it is currently month to month? Thank you.

@Joseph S. the tenant must qualify with section 8 and receive approval and a voucher of sorts. You would then fill out the paperwork for them, they turn it in, an inspection ensues, and you either pass or fail. They can cone back to reinspect, but in our area, that means a delay and they may not be able to move in until the following month. They usually date things for the first of a month. Just be aware that it usually takes another month for you to receive funds direct deposited into your account. They don’t move very fast😳

I would look for a property manager in your area that has experience with Section 8
