I cut down a tree on my property
Instead of removing it.. I felt no need to
I just cut it down and let it die in my backyard on my property line.
Now people are complaining about it
What would you do?

If it's on your property they can complain all they want all they want to no avail. Once it's dry I would cut it up and use it as firewood.
Perhaps have a post-Corona fire pit party and burn the tree while the neighbors complain about the fact you're having a party and are enjoying the evening with your guests. :-)
