Do you negotiate your property mgr fee?

Just wondering if any landlords out there negotiated the fee for their property managers. I’m looking for one for my mom’s rental because she wants to travel more and won’t always be in town. But the rental hasn’t had any maintenance issues at all for several years. Tenants always pay on time through the app, and they rarely even contact us. Would you pay the full 10%?

If you dont want to pay 10% what are you actually going to negotiate them down to? 1-2% is not enough to make a dent unless you have a lot of homes. Also, if its just 1 home what is there motivation to give you a deal when they probably dont give their other owners who have more a break.  Just a few things to consider. It is easier to ask for a better rate once they manage for you as opposed to before you try to do business with them.

Good luck
