Low Basement Ceiling of Investment Property
My wife and I are looking into buying a two family investment property in New Jersey. The basement of the property has a very low ceiling (I am around 5’11 and cannot stand straight up). The basement (unfinished) has what appears to be two separate washer and dryer hookups, and also the house’s circuit board.
If we allow tenants to access the basement (to do their wash or access the circuit board) I am afraid this could be a liability or code issue. Has anyone else in New Jersey encountered this issue?
