Texas Condo: Board Members
My understanding is that in the state of Texas there must be a minimum of 3 HOA board members for an association. I converted a duplex into a condo and reside in one side. A married couple purchased the other side. Currently I am holding the position of President and the couple are holding positions of Treasurer and Secretary. To keep this balanced in the event of a disagreement our realtor agreed to act as the 4th party of the board. This was of course a temporary arrangement with my realtor just so we could get the HOA set up and close the sale of the property. Now I am faced with finding a replacement for the position my relator holds and don't really want to ask a friend and i have no family living here. I know that there are many duplexes being converted to condos in Austin TX and was curious how other investors are handing this. Thank you for any thoughts/recommendations!
