Tenants door was kicked in
The tenant notified me that their door was kicked in while they were visiting someone at the hospital. They said nothing was taken.
1. Do I call the police?
2. Is this a renters insurance issue?
3. What else should I be asking?

Translation: tenant got locked out and is pretending that someone broke in to explain his forcible entry.
My personal policy would be to ask for a police report. At least that puts them on the spot if they are lying. (Merely a moral victory, I assure you)
