PM Renewed lease against my wishes
Last Month I decided I was tired of dealing with my tenants an my PM who is terrible. I sent an email telling that I'm withdrawing the lease renewal and selling the house and that she needs to give the tenants 30 days notice.
Instead she had them sign the lease the next day and said there's nothing I can do about it. It's a large PM company and I tried to get others in the company to respons and several have ignored me. Then I recieve this email
"Good morning Billy,
I looked into the issue and situation below.
The conversation started in regards to this renewal back on May the 7th. There was correspondence back an forth for a few days in which you approved the renewal offer to be sent and signed. We always start this process 45 to 60 days prior to the end of the lease because it does take some time.
Per your email below you sent an email to us on May 28th at 9:19 PM to cancel this offer. The tenant signed the lease on May 29th at 9:51 am. This was less than 2 business hours for us to cancel this offer to the tenant. Unfortunately this is an electronic process that once the tenant signed was automated from there. Part of that process is to send you an email telling you Congrats the tenant signed a renewal, which you received a couple of days later.
Unfortunately this process takes some time to stop, which is why we reach out to you before even starting the process. In this scenario we did not have enough time to stop the process and the renewal was executed.
I know that is not the answer that you want to hear, but it is the truth of the matter. If you do wish to sell the property you can still do this, it will just have to be sold occupied, likely to another investor. If you do want to discuss this further please let me know and we would be happy to assist."
They refused to follow my orders and keep telling me I can't do anything about it. Can anyone give me some advice here?
