Mobile Home Renting!

Jack Tinker

Hi Everyone,

I am just starting off my real estate investing career in Winnipeg, Canada. I've been looking around and have seen a few mobile homes in the area for what seems to be good deals. What is the general consensus for buying and renting out mobile homes? Are there any issues or extra things to worry about when it comes to mobile homes?

Cheers

Jack

@Jack Tinker It definitely can work. The key is networking if you're going to be working in the parks. Get to know the park managers and/or owners and start building relationships. If they like you and you've established a good relationship, you'll be one step ahead of the competition. Regarding issues concerning mobile homes, you want to make sure you study the weather patterns in the area. Be sure the mobile homes you buy can withstand the weather. Talk to park managers, park owners, and dealerships to get a feel for the history of the homes in the area. Hope that helps!
