Best camera security system?

Hi guys,

I'm working on a 6 unit apartment building, and would like to purchase a camera based security system. This is my first time working on a multi-family and I know next to nothing about security systems. Is there a gold standard company or set-up for apartment units of this size when it comes to security cameras? Looking for something reliable and affordable. Even if you can point me in the right direction of the place to learn more about this topic, that would be great too.

Hi Joe, I am not a security system expert however I just installed a few cameras from the Swann pro series kit and they work great:

I placed these cameras at each of the entrances so I can see who comes and goes. With these cameras you have the option to always record or only record when motion or heat is detected. This system also has the option to connect to a server so you can view the footage anywhere through the swann app or the cameras can be hard wired, not requiring wifi.  The system was easy to install, the footage is crystal clear and I think it is user friendly for the most part.
