How many do this stuff full time and are doing well

I am hoping I can get the answer to this practical question. Yes, I know "if you can conceive it you can achieve it" and "always think positive." I believe that and I get it. I want to know how many of you are actually doing REI full time, and are you making the kind of salary you were hoping to earn. Also how do you all provide health insurance for your families?

Thank you in advance to all who help me with a constructive answer.

I know lots of people who spend lots of time "conceiving" and "thinking positive" and they aren't very successful.

On the other hand, I know other people who spend lots of time working their butts off, continuing to pursue knowledge and turning their mistakes into positive experience -- these are the people who are doing well and making real estate a profession, as opposed to a hobby or pursuit.

Personally, I've been doing this full-time for about 3 years, and I earn what most would consider to be a good salary.

As for health insurance, we buy our own. It's not cheap -- for a family of four, it costs us about $10K per year in premiums, and that's with high deductibles -- but just make sure you factor that into your budget before making the decision to go full time.
