Fence Blew Down between two houses, two different property mgmt
Hi easy question, may not be an easy answer. I am still new at this, I own house A and am renting it out, another property mgmt company runs house B. The fence between blew over, posts are on my side (I get the ugly side), but I assume we both split the cost. My tenants want it fixed fast. I believe I found the PMC for the other property. How does this transaction work?

Tell your tenant to be patient, it may get replaced it may not. He has no say on when it gets done unless he is paying.
If it's on the property line you would normally split the cost to repair. If one side refuses and says they do not care if the fence is replaced it is up to the other to decide if they still want the fence or lot. If they do then they pay the full cost.
If the fence is set on one property they decide what they want to do. Not replace, pay to replace or suggest splitting the cost.
When two owners can not come to an agreement on sharing the cost the one that wants the fence pays for the fence.
