AIRBnB -VS- Straight rental???

I was wondering if anyone here might be running an airbnb? Even when I include the added cost of electricity; 50% vacancy, increase in operating costs etc, the ROI is better with airbnb -vs- standard rental. I would live close by so no management fees would be included. I use the existing airbnb rates in my area to calculate the monthly income. It's something I am strongly considering. Is there any airbnber's out there that would like to share their expertise?
