Tenant has not switched utilities over to his name...

Newbie here,

I just had a new tenant moved in my property January first, all the utilities where on my name and I told him he had a few days to get settled in and switch the utilities to his name.

It is now almost the end of the month and the utilities are still under my name last I checked.

What are my options here? I only have two properties, so I manage the properties myself. Never really had this issue before and the tenant is not returning my messages.

Any advice?

Thank you.

Why did you not end-service date all utilities the day before the tenant moved in? Perhaps something is different in your neck of the woods, but I just call the city / power company/ gas company and tell them to turn it all off the day before the tenant is scheduled to move in.
