Can you require a drug test pre lease agreement?
Hello everyone, fIrst time Investor question. I’m in central Texas, have a free sIngle wide, an owner financeable lot for 15,000 total, and am closing the deal soon. Once I get the utilities hooked up, ready to go and I’m ready to look for renters, am I legally allowed to ask for a drug test? I’m going into this deal for $3000 total, looking at 500 monthly cash flow, and property paid off in 3 years. Only reason I’m asking is because this is a cheap deal for a reason. It’s a hardworking neighborhood, but also prone to druggies. Anyways, I don’t want to get burned on this, but if so it’s a learning lesson. Thanks ahead of time for any advice.
