Everything else okay, but extra addresses on credit report?

The applicant listed one rental address on their rental history and said they were living in Brazil before then. But when I pulled the credit report there are other Florida addresses listed from years ago. I checked their reference for their current address (an apartment complex in this area) and the reference came back fine (paying on time, etc.). But on the criminal there is a speeding ticket from ten years ago that lists a South Florida address that is not on the application.

Should I approve if the employment verification comes back okay, or reject, or try to get more info. from the applicant on the addresses? Credit was so so--not horrible, but on $800 item currently listed as in collection, and one charge off from 10 years ago for $5000 from Chase Bank. No credit score listed. Thanks.

Wife's social security # came up as "invalid" on two different search sites and the guy seems to have a huge list of unexplained past addresses and p.o. boxes...I think I'll be moving on to find some different renters.

Google them weird addresses - they might be PO Boxes or something (mailing addresses).
I wonder why credit score would not be listed?

Regarding wife's SSN - tell them that SSN is no hit and watch for reaction. They might been off by 1 number (accidentally) or off by 9 numbers (intentionally). But then again, if you're not interested in them two, don't bother. I'd send a rejection letter in this case with the following reason: unable to verify SSN.

^ Thanks. He had about 10 different addresses (apartment complexes) over the last couple decades, + plus about 10 different P.O. Boxes in various states. I don't believe his story of only having one year of rental history in the US. I ended up rejecting based on bad credit + incomplete info. on application.

That makes perfect sense.

^ I would have worked with them on the credit, if that was the only issue, but once they're lying to me about their rental history, or trying to hide things, I'm done with them.
