Multi family- affordable housing conversion
Im looking to invest in multi family (affordable housing to be specific). What kind of process is it to convert an existing 8 unit multi family project to section 8 affordable housing?

@Trey Snellings I know I'm a little late responding. If you haven't already figured it out. The tax credit (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program that you mentioned you would be able to get information from your state's Housing Development Authority. I just read somewhere the other day that the next tax laws don't give a large of a benefit as in the past. It still might be worth looking into. You can also read more about it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-Income_Housing_T....
If you want to know about becoming a Section 8 landlord that is done through your local (city or county) housing authority depending on where you live. Sometimes your local housing authority will have a website where you can go and request a landlord package which will give you all the information that you need to qualify. not, give them a call and they will be able to give you the information you need to qualify. Once qualified, you can then start advertising on sites like gosection8.com and there are a few others. You just have to google section 8 rentals. Often times, they will have a bulletin board at your local housing authority where you can put fliers. I hope this was helpful to you.
