House Hacking (MN Edition)

Hello all! I am new to the idea of House Hacking and thinking about buying a Duplex/Triplex sometime in the foreseeable future. I reside in MN and thought I'd start a forum to try and get some guidance, ideas, seminars or attend local meet ups.

Also, any success stories are highly welcomed. I notice myself on few occasions getting discourage, simply because I am new to this, but am highly aware that there are growing pains when starting anything new... But that's all part of the fun!

Thanks,

Patrick Olownia

My wife and I closed on our duplex in November and have been living in it since January.  I would've liked to have lived in the basement unit and rent out the much nicer main floor but my wife refused to live in the basement, so although our mortgage isn't quite paid for every month we are really starting to see the effects of househacking! I would highly recommend it so far!
