Sever water meter issue

Hi,

Im in a dilemma, can someone please help me.

I have been suffering with my water bills going up since last year and now I am paying £60.00pm. I live alone and work 6 days a week, hence I have very low usage on water.

I live in a 2 bedroom flat, and yes I have checked for leaks and there have been no leaks and also checked with the downstairs neighbour.

On Saturday I took a meter reading at 11.30a.m. the reading was 15753. When I checked the meter at 5.30pm it was 21039.

Essex and water state there must be a leak in the property but I have checked, no taps leaking etc and no leak downstairs. The leak

has gone extremely bad as I have notice my monthly payments have gone from £27.00 a month to £60.00.

Can someone please advise, as Essex and water state their meters are never faulty as faulty meters give less meter readings and not high!!!!
