Sharing economy tenants

So.....

In Late 2015 / 2016 I was renting a condo I "had" in the Bay Area. For the first time I got Uber / Lyft drivers as applicants. I also get a few other applicants that were working for postmates.

I was willing to talk to these people IF they had a 1099. Which they didn't. THEN..... I was willing to possibly looking at their bank statements in order to establish a trend. It was a downward one... Given that their earnings can vary wildly based on the number of task(s) / rides they get I couldn't see a scenario that I could make it work in.

Do any of you have Sharing economy tenants and under what condition(s) will you accept them?

Thanks,

Jason
