Flashing Red Light on Power Outlet

I have an issue in my own home, but I was hoping you guys could help me out. I just got home and a little light on one of the power outlets in the kitchen is blinking red. I tried hitting the "Test" and "Reset" buttons and it didn't do anything. I also tried shutting off the power in the house for a few minutes and the light is still blinking red.

My wife called her dad who was an electrician in the military and he said that we need to unplug everything and then hit "Reset." I have no idea how I would move the stove without scratching the floor. Is there something else I could do?
