college renters vs low income renters

I've read on here that many people think renting to college students is more challenging than renting to non-college students. Is this due to the turnover every year? I know they will be hard on the property and damage lots of things, but don't low income renters do this just as much?

For those of you with experience, do they request more repairs/maintenance or expect more than normal renters?
