Eviction case dilemma
I am hoping for some direction in how to move forward getting a tenant evicted.
The tenants rent is paid by the VA, although it's sent directly to the tenant which they are supposed to deposit into my account and evidently have not done for the past 3 months.
I paid a person/company $400 for eviction services. This person sent me a plethora of sexually based correspondence, with little in regard to the actual eviction case. Then he suggested a plan whereby I would be essentially scamming one of my long term tenants at another property. I stated how grossly immoral his idea was. He not only failed to see the unethical nature of his idea but seemed shocked I pointed out how unscrupulous it was.
After this he ignored all messages and emails I sent regarding the eviction.
I then received correspondence from a colleague of his saying they can't evict the tenant.
The reason given was that he sent a request for repairs prior to being served with an eviction notice. The repairs were regarding electrical work. I sent a licensed electrician months ago and have an invoice showing over $1000 of work completed.
The rent is $1600 per month and and the tenant has been there 3 months rent free now plus I did not receive a security deposit from her so the financial loss is great. I am currently doing volunteer work in India and relying on rental proceeds from the USA for my living costs so it's quite a stressful situation.
