CIGARETTE SMOKE IN A RENTAL ---- LAWSUIT WORTHY ?

My name is Nick and right now, I am currently living in a rental home.  Upon moving in, I painted the walls and ceilings noticing discoloration.  The previous tenant smoked in this home, and I am afraid that my healthy is being compromised as a result of the previous idiot's smoking.

I am wondering, is there a lawsuit here, can I get this idiot landlord for providing an unsafe living environment?

I had suspicion that the previous tenant smoked, but I did not ask the landlord, nor did I know for sure, but now I am pretty sure.

Also, I believe that the ducts may be bad, and there may be mold..... Is there a suit for that?
Because this guy is the cheapest SOB in the entire world, and if he has compromised my health for his profit, I feel that that is lawsuit worthy

What are your opinions?

@Nicholas Moffett You should definitively sue.  First, and foremost, none of the people on this site are toxicologists, however it is common knowledge that the surgeon general says that smoking causes lung cancer.  It doesn't matter if you are smoking yourself, or are forced to inhale toxic fumes due to an unsanitary environment.  Secondly, I feel bad for you that you were forced to sign a lease to live in this filth.  Those people that you so graciously take care of could also be liable for forcing you to live in a place against your will.  I mean technically since they forced you to sign that lease and live there against your will that is a crime of false imprisonment and not a civil matter to sue over, but I'm certain that they would be willing to settle out of court to avoid being indicted in federal court.  Next, don't listen to @Bryce Wong, you're obviously not a troll, in fact his mentioning this makes him libel, you could easily sue him for that and possibly argue that he was cyber bullying you.  With as many teeny boppers as there are today that commit suicide over vicious comments made online, I'm sure there are plenty of mothers sitting on the jury that would agree that Bryce should pay dearly for his malicious comments.  Finally, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to sue BiggerPockets itself for failure to provide adequate forum moderation, leading to a degenerative culture that has caused significant emotional distress to you.  With all the different options of people you currently have to potentially sue, I would also talk to your lawyer and see if he can get you a bulk rate discount for representing you in all of the above cases.  Forget what all these naysayers think, your body is your temple, and you have a moral obligation to yourself to make your millions the old fashioned way, in court.
